Scored another great album on cassette while thrifting the other day: Jim Croce’s I Got a Name (1973)!

Aside from featuring some of Croce’s best tunes-“I Got A Name,” “Five Short Minutes,” and “Workin’ At The Car Wash Blues” being some of my favorite tracks, the LP was tragically released posthumously (Croce died in a plane-crash in September of 1973.) Recorded at the Hit Factory in New York City, I Got A Name has been certified Gold in the United States, and remains one of my favorite’s by the beloved folk-songwriter.
